Merrimack High School Races to the Finish Line with China Manufacturing Corp.
China Manufacturing Corp. sponsors Merrimack High School’s Robotics Team
Nashua, NH – March 22, 2016 – China Manufacturing Corp., New Hampshire’s largest prototype manufacturing company is sponsoring Merrimack High School’s robotics team, Team Chop Shop 166. The sponsorship will include manufacturing sheet metal parts for a FIRST robotics approved robot.
Team Chop Shop 166 is the FIRST Robotics team for Merrimack, NH. The goal of the student-led group is to build a FIRST approved robot that will compete in a regional competition. Along with building a robot the team will develop students’ skills to prepare them for post-graduation careers in STEM fields. Team Chop Shop 166 is divided in sub-groups including software, animation, pro-engineers, marketing, mechanical / electrical, and design. The groups tasked with designing and engineering will work with China Manufacturing Corp. on designing and manufacturing sheet metal components for their robot.
FIRST Robotics is a program for students in high school and college with an interest in STEM fields. The organization was founded by Dean Kamen. FIRST hosts annual competitions where the students are able to showcase their robots and learn from others in the competition.
