Sheet metal has been around for thousands of years. Not surprisingly, it’s is an incredibly versatile medium. But it’s important to think about the qualities of sheet metal in your designs, and adjust them accordingly. What sheet metal offers, however, is a lower cost, especially at high volumes, compared to other machining processes. Also, it can be finished in a variety of ways, including silk screen, spray paint and dry powder coats.
Environmentally speaking, there is less material waste as unused pieces of sheet metal are recycled.
